Type: Interactive Media
Language: English

This interactive sound and media map includes recordings from marine mammals, such as baleen whales and snapping shrimp. It also includes information on how fish use low frequencies to communicate and how the sounds from human activity (e.g. underwater oil and gas exploration, constructing coastal wind turbines) can impact the marine environment. It also explains how passive acoustic data can help us understand how anthropogenic noise may affect ocean ecosystems and marine animals
