PFAS:
What are PFAS?
PFAS (Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) are a group of man-made chemicals valued for their resistance to heat and ability to repel grease, water, and oil. Their properties make them common in products like non-stick cookware, water-resistant clothing, fast food packaging, personal care items and many more. Their widespread use in consumer and industrial products significantly contributes to environmental pollution. Long-term or acute exposure to these “forever chemicals” harms our environmental and human health. You can learn more about the causes, impacts and solutions to PFAS pollution in the below resources!
